Dear Friends:

As we move into the new year, we are continuing to change and grow as an organization.  For example:

·     Lane recently became a totally tobacco-free campus.  In the interest of good health for our patients, families and staff members, we ask for your support by not smoking or using tobacco products on hospital grounds or in our parking lots.

·     Construction on the second floor began in October to convert five old special procedure rooms into four new post-partum rooms for our Labor & Delivery Unit.  We anticipate opening these new rooms by the end of February.

·     We have expanded the scope of Behavioral Health Services, which is our new intensive outpatient psychiatric program designed to help individuals through times of stress, fear, depression and anxiety.  We will now be able to offer a partial hospitalization program for patients needing more intensive treatment than the outpatient program provides.  Please call (225) 658-6640 for more information and to schedule a confidential assessment.

·     Also, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new Chief Financial Officer, Mark Anderson.  Mark is originally from Bossier City, LA, and he is excited to be coming back ‘home’ after spending 10 years in Virginia.  He is looking forward to becoming an active member of the community and being part of our Lane family.
