Allyson Bennett Receives Celebrate Nursing Award - 6/14/2013 -
Staff Development Director Allyson Bennett, RN, received the "Celebrate Nursing Award” through the Baton Rouge District Nurses Association. This award recognizes nurses for their dedication to the advancement of nursing practice and standards in the community.
A native of Zachary, she is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all clinical and non-clinical education needs in order to enhance, promote and maintain high standards in staff professional growth and quality patient care.
Allyson is dedicated to the community both professionally and personally. She is involved in a number of professional organizations and is a leader and advocate for nurses throughout the organization on many levels.
Allyson has more than 20 years of health care experience and is a Certified Patient Educator. She is a member of the National Nursing Staff Development Organization and was named the 2002 Employee of the Year for Lane Regional Medical Center.
She is married to Chip Bennett and has two children, Gage and Abby.
