Join us for the 15th annual Veterans Day & Flag Raising Program set for Friday, November 10, at 7:30 a.m., at the Regional Veterans Park on the campus of Lane Regional Medical Center, 6300 Main Street in Zachary.
The annual Flag Raising is co-sponsored by the Bank of Zachary and Lane. “Every year we look forward to this wonderful community event to honor the service and sacrifice of our local veterans,” says Bank of Zachary President/CEO Mark Marionneaux. “We invite everyone to join us as we honor the service and sacrifice of our local veterans.”
Retired Army veteran, Lieutenant Colonel Darren Spears, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Retired Army veteran, Colonel Robert Reisz, will offer remarks during the program. Cadets from the Army Junior ROTC at Zachary High, under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Spears, will provide the flag detail along with local Boy Scout Troop 46 and Cub Scout Pack 46. Patriotic music will be provided by the Zachary High School Band and Choir under ZHS Band Director Jason Venable and ZHS Choir Director Cierra Fountain. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
