Allyson Bennett Named Chief Quality Officer

Allyson Bennett, MSN, RN, has been promoted to Chief Quality Officer at Lane Regional Medical Center.

Allyson has served as the Quality Director at Lane for the past three years, leading such quality initiatives as improving surgical site infection rates, implementing interventions to assist with identified social determinants of health, improving breast cancer awareness, and improving the hospital’s overall star rating.

She will continue to lead Lane’s accreditation process to ensure high standards of patient care as set forth by The Joint Commission. She will also continue to oversee all aspects of hospital quality, including core measures, patient satisfaction, infection control, and risk management.

A native of Zachary, Allyson graduated from Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. She has more than 32 years of health care experience and is certified in Nursing Professional Development.

In 2020, Allyson was named Clinical Nurse Educator of the Year by the Louisiana State Nurses Association, in 2013 she received the Baton Rouge District Nurses Association’s Celebrate Nursing Award, and in 2002 she was named as Lane’s Employee of the Year.
