The twelfth annual Veterans Day Flag-Raising Ceremony is set for Wednesday, November 11, at 7:30 a.m., - rain or shine - at the Regional Veterans Park located on the campus of Lane Regional Medical Center, 6300 Main Street in Zachary.
The event is sponsored by The Bank of Zachary. Bank President/CEO Mark Marionneaux stated, “Every year we look forward to sponsoring this wonderful community event to honor the service and sacrifice of our local veterans.”
Jeff Sumner, Army Chief Warrant Officer 2, will offer remarks during the program, Mark Marionneaux will serve as Master of Ceremonies, and Cub Scout Packs 46 & 72 and Boy Scout Troop 472 will lead the pledge and provide flag detail. Patriotic music will be provided by Chad Fletcher, Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Zachary. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
