Ben Cavin was recently appointed by the Metropolitan Council of East Baton Rouge Parish to the Board of Commissioners at Lane Regional Medical Center. He replaces Gaynell Young who served for 12 years.
Ben is the President/CEO of Landmark Bank and has more than 18 years in the industry. A Zachary native and graduate of Zachary High, Ben earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University and master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
Professionally, Ben was the first recipient of the Zachary Chamber’s Young Professional of the Year Award. He is very active in the Zachary community and served on numerous boards, including the Zachary Rotary Club, Zachary Chamber of Commerce, and Zachary Art Council. He also served as the elected representative for the City of Zachary City Council, District 4.
Ben and his wife Nikki live in Zachary with their three children, Kori, 9, Kirby 7, and Bennett, 6. He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as LSU sports, hunting, and fishing.
