Do you make a mean bowl of chili? Is your salsa the best around? Put your skills to the test and join in the HOT competition at Lane Foundation’s 9th Annual Code Red Chili & Salsa Cook-off, set for Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., in Downtown Zachary at the Historic Village.
The Code Red Chili & Salsa Cook-off competition is open to amateurs and professionals of ALL AGES, and offers companies, organizations, and individuals the opportunity to compete in an exciting and fun environment!
New this year is a 4th category: Non-Traditional Chili, in addition to Red Chili, Salsa, and People’s Choice categories. Also new this year is a partnership with the Zachary Rotary Club and the BUNNY HOP 5K that will take place prior to the opening of the cook-off.
Admission and parking to this family-friendly event are FREE. In addition to tasting some world-class chili and salsa, bring the family and enjoy an arts & crafts market, kidz zone, games, food, and LIVE MUSIC featuring local artists Dominic Michael, Coteau Grove Band, and Blue Crab Redemption.

Proceeds from the Code Red Chili & Salsa Cook-off will benefit the Lane Foundation Expansion Project campaign fund.
