A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Couvillion attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York where she received her master's degree in oriental medicine. She is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed in the state of New York. She is certified in Clean Needle Technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) and is a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY).
Her specialty focus includes herbal medicine, digestive disorders, sleep disorders, women's health, pain management, and lifestyle and nutrition counseling.
