Dr. Mehta earned his Master of Arts and Master of Public Health at Boston University School of Medicine. He earned a Doctorate of Medicine from Howard University College of Medicine, completed his radiation oncology residency at the University of Southern California where he served as chief resident, and completed his fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Mehta has also authored a number of publications and holds multiple certifications.
