Dr. Richardson earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Louisiana State University and received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where she also completed her residency training in family medicine and was Chief Resident.
During residency training, Dr. Richardson received the George Lally Bevil Award for outstanding characteristics and excellence in leadership, the Hardy Woodbridge Award for superior academic achievement, the Gary Jefcoats Award for outstanding teaching characteristics, and the W.R. Gillis Achievement Award for best performance.
During medical school she was the recipient of the Dr. Thais Tonore Joy of Family Medicine Award for compassion and integrity in patient care, exemplary professionalism and a zeal for the specialty of Family Medicine.
She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
